In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top-performing photo and video applications in Ukraine displayed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the dynamics of these leading apps.

YouTube by Google saw its weekly revenue peak at around $579K in early December, before dropping to $411K at the end of the month. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 22.7K and ending with a peak of 27.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 23.6M.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor from FaceApp Technology Limited experienced a steady increase in revenue, reaching approximately $62.9K by the last week of December. Downloads surged dramatically in early December, hitting a high of 41.7K, while active users peaked at 275.9K towards the end of the quarter.

Google Photos: Backup & Edit had consistent revenue growth, with figures rising to about $39.3K in late November. Downloads showed a gradual increase, reaching 13.5K by the end of December. Active users remained robust, fluctuating between 4.1M and 4.5M.

Captions: AI Short-Form Video exhibited a gradual decline in revenue, closing the quarter at $23.2K. Downloads also decreased over the period, starting at 6.2K and dropping to 2.7K. Active users saw a significant drop mid-quarter, stabilizing around 29K by the end.

Finally, Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor recorded a peak revenue of $32.2K in early December. Downloads decreased from 34.4K in September to 8.9K by December's end. Active users peaked in early November at 367.5K, before declining to 237.9K.
